WLLA PARTNERS PARTICIPATE EFFECTIVELY AT THE 47TH SESSION OF THE ACHPR

The participation of COHRE and the Land Access Movement of South Africa (LAMOSA) at the 47th Ordinary Session of the ACHPR in May, 2010 created an opportunity to contribute to two major Resolutions which were adopted by the NGO Forum and the African Commission. COHRE and LAMOSA\'s contribution on women, land and forced evictions in these Resolutions featured prominently in the NGO statement presented to the African Commission.

Also, he side event organised by COHRE, LAMOSA and the Centre for Reproductive Rights (CRR) at the ACHPR created a platform for future work on women’s housing, land and inheritance rights with the African Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Women in Africa. Please visit here for the Resolutions.
